well im not very car savy or anything but i know something is wrong, just not what. I was driving to work today and the check engine light came on and was flashing for a few mintues. I just kept driving so i wouldnt be late to work and it turned off then on the way home as soon as i started my car it started flashing and the motor was suptering and was hesint when i gave it gas. It felt like power was going in and out then i got home after drivng and tried to see if i could find what it was and it just kept suptering and i went in to check my gauges and my volt gauge went all the way down to the last line before the red. So im asking if you have any ideas of what it might be. I think im goin to that it to auto zone and have them hook it up to that computer and see what swrong.

you answered your own question. Get to Autozone to have it scanned. Only the car knows the problem.

I know that replies are usually pretty fast around here, but if they are not, don't bump the post after half an hour.

It could be one of 200 problems. I don't have a coin to flip with that many sides, so I think a scan would be your best option.

Usually when the light is flahing it means that there is a catalyst damaging issue with the car. Get it checked ASAP before you burn up the converter or the motor.

I wouldn't unless you have the money to buy a cat and/or motor.

Lets us know how it turns out. I had a single cylinder misfire shortly after replacing plugs and wires and it turned out to be a bad coil.
