air mix actuator
Someone said that my climate control is blinking, because when I pulled the battery cables off to clean them that the air mix acuator wasnt "parked" in the right place. Now everytime I turn the car on, it blinks for about 20 or so times, and the blinking stops.....
Rod moves back and forth smoothly, when I change from hot to cold, I I believe the gears are ok.
Wherre is "parked"?????????

To properly adjust the system, you need to disconnect the linkage from the plastic tab, and with the car on, turn the temperature to max hot, wait 45 seconds, and then re attach the linkage. I like to move the temp from full cold to full hot a few times just to make sure... Make sure you do the readjustment AFTER the climate control stops blinking...
I'm not sure the system would detect if it wasn't adjusted properly; it wouldn't have a way of knowing the adjustment... The blinking means that the module senses a fault in the system. In many cases, it is because of an actuator that doesn't respond (bad motor) or a bad temperature sensor or something like that.
Have you noticed any malfunction in the system? Try adjusting the rods and see it it occurs again. You can always have the code read if nothing seems to add up; that will tell you EXACTLY what the computer is complaining about.
