If your car wants to be fast like his, spend your money on rockers/springs or a cam etc before changing the coils. You won't get a noticable improvement from the coils. Only cosmetic.

So there'* no reason to search out a MSD plug wire set like Danthur'*? No less resistance, or higher quality? I've got a P0303 code, which is a misfire on cylinder #3. 117K miles on original plug wires, so looking for replacements.

I went with MSD because of the look. I wanted a red engine compartment. As for performance, no real change that I noticed. If I remember right those were about $30 something each.

Thanks for the informative feedback, Danthurs. Your red engine compartment is a real looker, no doubt you get lots of questions about it.
I won't be shopping for coils anyway, as it turns out- my misfire and P0303 code was definitely from bad plug wires. Problem solved!
