supercharger idler pulley replacement need help bad

Default supercharger idler pulley replacement need help bad

i was going down the road and and heard a loud buzzing noise and pulled over to the side of the road and the idler pulley had spun off in half it'* in between the motor mount and right beside the water pump and i cant find a way to get to it can anybody help me????

You can remove the belt and drive without the supercharger. It won't hurt the engine. Idlers #3 and #9 are both reverse thread.

9'* the one you'll like.

I tossed this into the other thread you asked in...but here it is again since it'* never listed too much.

Jack and support the passenger side of the car. Remove the tire and splash shields in teh wheel well.. Using a board or something jack the oil pan at the passenger side slightly. Remove the main bolt from engine side of mount to body side of mount. Using a 13mm at 12 and 6 on the clock, go through the power steering pump pulley holes and unbolt the power steering pump. Now the three nuts and studs for the engine side of the mount are accessable. Be careful not to drop any washers or spacers that are on them. Lift the engine side of the bracket out, swap that pulley and reverse your directions to reassemble. I like to put the belts back on before puttting the bracket on to ensure they are in the correct place.
