Default 94 SSEi Bogs down during acceleration

94 SSEi

Diagnostic Indicators:

Hybrid 1.5 OBD

Check Engine light
Traction Control Light

Main Problem

From what I can understand the car bogs down when you first start. After a second the poopercharger spools up and some power is restored. Your best guess as to what sensor or solenoid is doing this is fine.

Second Problem

The traction light is on. I assume this has something to do with CCR but please tell me what other causes could be doing this.

CP9110 will work with this hybrid car correct? Any other alternatives to scan tools since the dealer charges.

Get the car scanned to get the code. The code(*) will be key in helping you fix the car.

Advance Auto should be able to read the codes, if you happen to have one local.

Its a 94. OBD 1.5

Any ideas on what could cause the power loss at low rpm?

What about the Traction control light...What does that usually indicate?

According to Willwren it usually indicates a bad wheel speed sensor...aka...dirty..or bad connection. I've got the same on my 95...every so often it lights up. Pain in my butt.

That could very well be the case since the cruise control may be having problems.

Still have not driven the car yet but planning on picking her up this weekend

Let me clear the air here......

TC light has nothing to do with CCR or cruise control.
It'* only for Traction Control. Could be WSS, PMV, or EBCM.

Cruise control could be TPS or servo, or a simple vacuum line.

Autozone and Advanced won't scan a 94/95 hybrid PCM. They don't have the cable.

We need codes.
