Default Key ignition mechanism

Ok so i recently fixed my a/c by fidning the air mix actuator and to find it was a loose wire so after reinstallign everything busting a coupekl things like the transmission lights that let u know what gear your in and a little support piece. none the less its back together and my problem now is when i place the key in ignition to start it feels like there is tension and i have pull bakc first then forward to start it. When i want to remove the key i haveto use my other hand to line up the arrows and pull the key out because something is forcing it away from that position any ideas how i can tackle this? Thx
