Blue Exaust
Today, I went to pass a friend in her pickup. I went WOT @ 35 mph and held untill 90mph. She said the car was burning blue smoke. I thought the new PCV valve took care of that. I was wrong. I went to the best shop in town and they said that its "normal" for a drop or two to get past the cylinder under hard driving. He said if I did burn oil my plugs would foil very fast. My plugs look good every time I pull them. He also said that if the car runs rich enough that can cause blue smoke as well. So, is this really normal? I rarely ever see cars put out blue smoke unless they are beaters. :?

I don't think my car has any blue smoke when I pin it.....But I'm never behind it either.
I'm going for the fuel trim getting too hot under WOT and burning a lot to quick.
Also it wouldn't suprise me if you do get a lil blow by...I'd imagine every engine does under a **** kickin'. What weight oil you running?

Anyways...yes too much fuel can burn blue.
And WAY too much fuel burns black smoke.
Try bumper up to 10w 40
That'* what I'm running right now.

Yeah dude, chances are if it were oil, it'd happen all the time [idle to WOT]. It probably is just gas. If the can of restore fixes it, then yeah it'* oil.. but I doubt it. I've yet to see a car only have blue smoke with WOT, it'* usually black if anything.
