Default Intermittant Low Coolant ???

I got this show up on my on board display twice within the last 2 weeks.. it comes on.. I pull over and pop the hood to find that the coolant level is fine... jump back in the car.. and it disappears.. is it just little gremlin that'* just a nuisance, or something more serious.

It means your coolant has fallen below half full in the reservior. Where the sensor is located is a mystery to me. I can't see it on my tank, but it might be between the tank and fender. You might have some gunk in there, or a bad connection if you're not actually empty. My service manual doesn't mention it'* existence, but my owner'* manual does.

Hold that Hmmmmm.... until the Rat or Jeff have a chance to look through the factory manuals. I bet the answer is in there somewhere. B&R Auto Wrecking may know, too. He'* probably seen a few of these.

First off your coolant level sensor (If you have one that is, not all Bonnevilles do) would be located on the RH side tank of the radiator (That'* passenger side) about half way down. Second, your overflow container will usually have some coolant in it when hot (Hence the 2 marks on container > "COLD" & "HOT"). The coolant'* actual level does change do to many things like: Engine temperature; inclination of vehicle (Parked on a hill); leakage and or air pocket.
