98 SE won't start even with everything replaced
 

I replaced the upper intake and gaskets, the lower intake gasket, plugs, wires, and control module. The car is getting spark and fuel but won' t fire. seems like it is flooding out by how wet the plugs are after turning it over. anybody have any suggestions?

I'm making educated guesses here, but check the fuel system. Start with are you getting proper fuel pressure, test the fuel pressure according to your Haynes or Chilton manual. Are the injectors leaking through the nozzles even though they are closed? Have you checked all the fuses including the ones for the fuel system? Did you leave any wires unplugged? eg. Crankshaft position sensor, map, maf, injector harness, ground wires, does anything look unplugged? I've done that one before, left a CPS unplugged after replacing a front oil seal.

Were these the same problems that began the repairs you mentioned, or the problems that came out of the repair? If your plugs are wet there may be some coolant in there. Take out the plugs and either manually turn it over with a wrench on the harmonic balancer or just crank it with the plugs out for a few seconds.

If these are the problems you started with, definitely check fuel pressure as smoothcruising mentioned. There's a good chance it could be a CPS as well. Those were the exact symptoms when mine went out and I went through the same process. Have you checked for spark on all plugs?

You can also disconnect the camshaft position sensor and try to start it without it connected. There are a few other sensors you can try this with as well.

Are you getting a strong crank? How old is the battery? Clean grounds and connections on everything?

If you did the LIM gaskets etc because the UIM was bad or cracked. Then your cylinders are probably full of water.

Blowing them out with a compressor works well. Expect it may take a few tries and time to get them dry enough to fire.

Thanks, found out plugs got dexcool onthem and no matter how much you try to dry them out, they won't fire under pressure. changed plugs out, fired right up
