Default Blower Control Module & Blower Resistor, Where are they

Ok I have a 1993 SSE. I have ECC and I need to replace the BCM. I have read several threads on this topic, but it seems that most people have the manual controls not the ECC. I am a novice. That being said where is the BCM, is it under the glove box or under the hood? Please explain as if you were speaking to a 4th grader. If it is under the hood where or under the glove box where.

thanks in advance for your help. Louisiana summers are the worst!!!!

I read that article I have a couple of questions, "Engine Compartment'* Relay Cover" and "Blower Resistor that is situated on the top of the Heater Box"
what is the relay cover, and the heater box? or rather what do they look like?

Since I have the ECC do I have a Blower Resistor or just a Blower control switch?

Do you have an illustration of the Blower Control Module? I looked online for the part and all I can find is a blower control switch, Are these one in the same?

Look under your hood on the passenger side. The big black cover that says MAXIFUSE RELAY CENTER.

You have the ECC so you have the Blower Control Module. Please don't call this the BCM. That'* the BODY control module.

The module will be very obvious if you follow that article.

awesome thanks again for the help. Sorry for the acronym, as I said I am a novice.

What does it look like? I am trying buy a new and can't find a part online that is called
a blower control module. I have found blower control switch and the resistor but no control module? any thoughts?

Please put 1993 SSE in your signature by editing your profile. That'll help us help you.

I can't really describe it to you, but if it runs under 20 bucks, that'* the resistor assembly for a car with MANUAL controls. You don't want that.

If it runs 75-100 bucks, that'* your baby. Standard products part number RU304. I suggest a wrecker, but you MUST get it from a 92-99 that has ECC.

will, I got the Blower Control Module out. I went to three wreck yards, looked at probably 15 bonne'* in the right year range and none of them had the electronic climate control!!

so i had to buy the part, put the new one in and it works great!!! thanks.

I had a guy tell me I should go ahead and change the blower motor, that it was the cause of the Blower control module going out. Do you agree?

also, I noticed while I was in the yard that some buick'* had similar electronic components under the hood. If the Blower Control Module goes out again, can I pull one from another GM make that will work?

thanks again
