UIM replacement parts
Hey I just wanted to confirm with you guys who have done this before to make sure that I am getting the right parts for the UIM replacement.
I got the fixed up UIM from Bob Dillon.
My main question is am I going to need a new upper intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, and a new PCV valve? These come with the pack you can buy here, but since I bought from Bob, I don't have them yet: http://www.automotivepartsnetwork.co...product=229679
If I do need to get these items, can I get them at the dealer? Or do you know of a better place?
Later this week I'm going to stop by a pontiac dealer and get the GM Aluminum Frame Lower Intake Manifold Gaskets and the GM Coolant Bypass Elbow.
I think these are all the parts I need. Let me know if I'm wrong, and thanks for any advice. I'm looking forward to getting this swap done.

Yeah, you're gonna need a UIM gasket, throttle body gasket, coolant elbow, some RTV siicone for the corners where the LIM gaskets meet the side rails (unless GM provides a little tube like FelPro) and some coolant unless you save all of yours. I like to use blue loctite on both the LIM bolts and the UIM bolts, too.
You don't have to buy a new pcv valve, (although this is as good a time as any), but make sure you recover both o-rings - one on the bottom (small end) of the valve, and the bigger one on top that seals the pcv chamber cover. If you lose track of the little one, you will pull too much vacuum on the crankcase which can damage the lip seals on the crankshaft.

Eric, don't worry about the loctite or RTV. I have all that. Every flavor imaginable. I also have o-ring picks to get those little buggers out.
