Unhappy Some days you should just stay in bed..

Ive lurked here for a few years and have learned a lot. I just recently fixed the electrical gremlins caused by the ground bus under the driver side floor and was getting ready to have her painted when my brother was borrowing it to drive back and forth to high school while we finish restoring his car (1970 Monte Carlo)....

He was checking in and thanks to a couple of trucks parked where they werent supposed to be with trailer hitch shelves this happened Friday morning..

Well after school he was waling back the poor car and saw a kid with a lifted truck backed real close to the car and was out of the truck looking at my poor car.

This is what his trailer hitch did

Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics Ill update with what the kids adjuster says tomorrow with better pics and hopefully pics of new doors and other parts I am going to get since we're paying for the doors out of pocket.

I left out one of the reasons I made this post. The passenger front door I'm getting has power function. My Bonneville doesn't have power mirrors, has anyone added this feature before? And what problems did you run into?

i did once but to a 93 shadow. All the wiring was run for it all you had to do was hook up the switches. I am imaging though a bonneville with a BCM is a little more complicated than plug and play.

I have the Factory Service Manuals for the car (my dad got them right after we bought the car years ago). Now that I'm done with finals I can get them out and see if in the wiring diagrams if the all the wires are pre-run for the mirrors. I'll let you know what I find.

I just got done with the adjusters and he said that it was close to totaling it. If the doors would have been part of the damage they are responsible it would have been totaled out right.

lol I do too when I'm at school. I went to the salvage yard and got both passenger doors, decklid, spoiler, the complete taillight assembly, and inner bumper/outer bumper for just over 200 of a car that just came in. It was an SSEi so I'll be going back to get the rest of the matching trim this weekend (driver side). I asked them and they would let me have the whole interior (butterscotch/tan) for 100 only thing wrong was the rear bottom needs to be straighten and the front driver has a small crack if nothing else I'll go back for the dash/console and keep looking around for seats. Then I'd be on my way to turning my car into an SLE

If you can get a 00+ shifter handle and boot for a more sporty look.

There were a few down there I'll see if I can snag one. I also plan on getting the sway bars, the car has air suspension in the rear but I doubt I'll get that, its too much work I think to add that to my SE. I did a search and couldn't find anyone who has done it before.
