can a o2 sensor make your car stall ? ( yes )
Ever heard of this one, i live in a very small town about 50 miles from a dealer and nobody around here can read a 1995 bonneville. I bought an o2 sensor from autozone , the reason i did was i need to get my mpg up , it has been going down. I installed the sensor and the car runs fine till it gets warm , then it will stall out when ever you stop at a red light or to turn. Check engine light does come on but i have no idea what codes it is setting. I can unplug the o2 sensor and it runs just fine, I have never heard of a o2 making a car stall. 1995 bonneville se

You got a Bosch O2 from Autozone, didn't you. I can't even BEGIN to count the number of Bosch O2'* that have caused problems in Bonnevilles.
Get an AC Delco sensor. However, I don't really see how a bad sensor would stall you. Your car will run with it disconnected.

I'd reccomend to you if you can wait www.rockauto.com for the AC Delco O2 sensor. It was I think 47 shipped.

Well, theoretically it could cause a stall if it were sending out bad feedback signals, right?
If it were giving a false read, then it could be causing an adjustment that starved the engine of fuel, no? Just speculating here.

I have never seen or heard of this type of failure with an AC Delco unit...
We have had too many issues with Bosch O2'* tho..
Id say if unplugging it completely solved the stalling issues, replace the O2 with a Delco Unit and see if the issues return..

Sorry i got it at advance auto not autozone and it was a standard.
Has any body ever heard of one making your car stall like mine,
i'm wondering if they didnt have the plug wired wrong.
Yes when I unplug it , not a problem one untill i plug it back up and it gets warm.

Despite all our speculation as to reasons, the fact remains that your O2 sensor is obviously bad. You should return that one and get an AC Delco as mentioned above.
