96 SSEi - Trunk popper button wont open trunk.

The trunk can still be popped by the keyless remote entry, but not from inside the car. I have taken out the button and manually closed the circuit but the trunk still wont pop, so that rules out the button. What should I check? Thanks.

open the trunk with the rounded key - look down at the latch - valet switch is on the left side of the latch - rocker type switch.

do you have a key for the trunk or the remote fob?

I don't have a remote for the car I only have the key, but it. Won't work with the key either.

you might be able to reach the switch with a long stick or broom handle through the passthough hole (behind the arm rest middle of back seat) you might try taping something on the end of a broom that could reach and "rock" the rocker switch.

Did the key work in the past and not now?

do you hear a click on the passengers side when you try the door trunk switch?

No I don't . When you press it you can't hear nothing . Now that I know where the switch is , I'm going to try with a stick and try To unlock it . I hope it works I Bremen trying for the last couple of weeks . Thanks for putting the picture up .
