Hesistation at Take-off Part Two
Okay, I'm getting annoyed by this.
I posted a while ago complaining about hesistation when I take off or accelerate from a crawl. It feels like it lost power but still runs fine.
I thought maybe it'll go away if I changed the fuel filter (I figured it got plugged up and it slowed the flow which could cause the hesistation)
I changed the fuel filter, I also changed the O2 sensor with a AC Delco.
Yet it still happens. The longest one was a bit short of 30 seconds (god that was soo embarrassing). I've noticed it only happens at take off from a complete stop or acceleration from a low low speed and only happens when it'* fully warmed up.
thoughts. It'* extremely irriating btw if I haven't mentioned it.

Yeah, the throttle position sensor. That'* where I'd start. Is it at all similar to what Bandit was experiencing here?

Yes, almost similar, it doesn't drop in idle or any changes in rpms. The coughing, sputtering, etc I wouldn't know because I can't hear anything. Feeling? Well all i feel is lack of power.
Thanks Dick.
Maybe I should wait for Boosty to come to INTENSE so he can help me, since I'm very capable of electrocuting myself with a AAA battery and some wires.

You're welcome, Cody. Yeah, you can wait for Boosty, but it sounds as if he may have a full plate with his work and zuper8'* UIM/LIM. While I'm not one who likes to throw parts at a car, as a test, you could always buy one of the Wells TPS from Autozone. I think they run $30ish. Was the TB and other sensors and controls cleaned when the intake was done?

Well, I cleaned my TB but I removed all of my sensors before I did my UIM/lLIM. Well actually I forgot to remove a sensor before I cleaned my TB, I used brake cleaner. maybe that sensor was the TPS...

The TPS is on the side of the TB, directly opposite the part where the cables for the throttle, and the cruise control are. If you cleaned the throttle plate, it would be attached to the other side. If that'* it, unless there was already a problem I doubt the brake cleaner would have hurt it, as it is sealed. If it was the MAF (mass air flow sensor) then that could be a problem. But, I'd think it would be more than just a hesitation.
