Procedure for TB Cleaning on 95
Can someone enlighten me as to how I can properly clean my TB with this stupid screen in the way?
My pedal is feeling a little sticky because the TB must be filthy behind that ***** screen. I like to see what is happening and that it has been cleaned properly.
Also just saw the post about MAF cleaning and am considering that was well.
Thanks guys

Car runs good and strong. But I'm postitive both TB and MAF are dirty and need a good cleaning. Just need a little help with that stupid screen.

See that snap ring? With a small gap with holes on both ends? Get some snap ring pliers, pull out the ring, then the screen may fall out, or you'll need to use a pin or something to help you pull. It may be easier to clean if you take off the TB anyway.

Thanks, got a great set of snap pliers that I've been waiting for a good reason to use.
If removal is done, (Me at work, FSM at home) is there a gasket I need to replace in there or is it rubber and reusable?

Gasket. Replace it. I agree. Remove it from the car. And take the MAF sensor out before cleaning. Leave the TPS, that'* fine. Remove the IAC after the TB is off the car. Scrub inside the IAC seat and passage very well. Wipe off the filament wire in the MAF sensor with a Qtip and rubbing alcohol.
