So today I go to open the sunroof, and when it goes all the way back, the motor didnt shut off automatically and just ground itself till i hit the button. Anyone know how easy this is to fix?

I think thats the same problem as my 87, I wouldnt worry about it, just don't blow the motor... and stop when it doesnt move anymore.

Mike, I'd have to check, but I think the limit switch is in the motor itself, and quite a project to replace and realign. This is going to be one of those things you wish would fix itself in time.

Does it operate correctly when closing it?

i push the button to pull it back and it goes about 2/3 of the way and stops, where i have to push it again and then stop it when it goes all the way back. When I go to close it, I hold the button down and it will go about 2/3 of the way and stop, where I have to let go and push the button again to get it to go all the way. it doesnt automatically shut off here either, i have to time it right to get it to close.

Probably the motor and track need to be synchronized. But I'm wondering why they are out of sync? Has it always been this way?
