What is this doohickey? (Its a PCM)
Link
It looks like a PCM, but I thought those things are tucked above the passenger'* feet under the dash, so I dont know what else it could be. I have never seen this on my 93.
Im a bit concerned because if this is a thing I cannot relocate it might make for a tight space for my intake pipe and even sit right next to it. So that project is on hold right now until I know what to do with it.

You people post too damn fast! If you would have waited at least a minute for me to edit my post and fix the link you wouldn't have to repost it. Give me some time people!

And ...that'* the Ugly Duckling of PCM covers. You may want to upgrade to a 97 cover. That way you don't have to remove the cover to change or clean your air filter.

In all honesty I think that is a dumb place to put it there. There'* space everywhere else in the engine for it, even the old location. Add to that its in an area where water can and reguarly does enter through behind the headlights, and last I checked water and electronics dont mix. Yes its in a cover, but the potential is still there, what if that cover breaks? What was GM thinking?
Even if a plugged-in hairdryer was in a sealed box and submerged in a bathtub, its still not a smart idea. Thats what this design is like to me and I just dont see the logic.
I took a look at it again and I think I can manage by running my filter vertically. But its going to be pretty tight in there.
I just might do that 93 SLE.
