My car is telling me I have a tail light out but I dont. And evertime I use my left turn signal it doesnt turn off after I make my turn I have to lift the turn signal handle to get it to go off.
Has this happened to anybody else here?

Well...for the taillight indicator...I believe it might be a BULB....if you have checked ALL bulbs...it is possible that a bulb is bad...but not blown..ie..bad socket, corrosion etc...ALSO double check license plate lights..yes lights (2)!!..I had a problem similar to yours..and overlooked that there was two of them...

As for the turn signal...I think it is the mechanism inside steering wheel column...They are usually made of plastic and can be broken off...Usually from holding turn signal lever while actually turning wheel...There is small "fingers" inside that trigger release of lever..

I've been having similar problems.

My brake light above the back seats keeps giving me the warning that it is out. I had my friends look at as I hit the brake and it worked fine.

The discriminator in your column is broken, Baron. As stated. It'* a piece of white plastic. You'll have to pull the airbag and wheel to get to it.

The taillight indication can be a license light. Did you check those 2? They're on the same circuit as all those little 194'*. If that doesn't do it, pull all of them, clean the sockets and bulb bases, and put them back. That should solve the problem.

For the high-mount (3rd) brake light, make sure you're using the proper bulb. The wrong one will light up, but will also set off the lamp monitor. If it'* the right one, clean the socket and bulb base.

...and the lock plate, too. You will need a steering-wheel puller and a lock-plate compressor, both available at any auto-parts store, Sears Hardware, etc. Realistically, you should have a service manual to give you a little guidance, too.

Once you've uncovered the turn-signal switch, you'll find that one of two little springs has broken. These are supposed to hold the cancelling fingers out (one right side, one left side) where they'll contact the cancelling cam, the thing that cancels your turn signals as you unwind after a turn. They're available separately; you don't need the whole turn-signal switch, although some disassembly is required anyway.

Note that this is a fiddly task; you will need some patience, good lighting and an ability to work with small tools and parts.

Also check the two little #194 side markers in each corner of the red lenses.

Some people have also reported sealant goop getting into the socket from around the rear window and causing an intermittent connection. I had a similar problem back when I first bought the car, although I think my false alarms were more to do with a bad ground connection in the socket than the goop I found there as well.
