okay..i just went out there...started on the first one but had to put it back together due to a severe thunder/hail storm coming in..heh.dont want to be out in that..
anyways..the top threaded retainer part..i put my channel locks on it, and was able to get it to unthread off..now...how do u go about getting the link out of the control arm? do i pound on the top of the top of the bolt (above stab bar) or...what...i dont have a grinder...or anything like that...
when you turn the bolt, the entire bushing/spacer moves, but it will stop moving if i can position my channel locks on the bushing/spacer just right..however, i dont think any of that is threaded...
there is little to NO rust at all under my car anyweres...this might help..

Do your endlinks have that big plastic spacer type thing on them? That was what was keeping my endlinks from coming off when I installed my handling kit.
It came with new endlinks anyway so we actually cut the plastic portion off and then the bolt came right out.
There was a bunch of crud, not so much rust, just crud, that had built up around the edges of that plastic thing, keeping it from sliding off the bolt.
We just used a big handsaw, something like a sawzall wouldve worked much better.

Those can be a pain sometimes to get off. I've had to break them off before. Boosty went at one of mine with a sawzall, and for some reason it was harder to get that one off than the passenger side which came off pretty easily by hand. I'd try a lot of pounding and twisting and turning before I tried a sawzall. Letting the suspension hang could help get it off actually, you'd just have to jack up the control arm again to re-install of course.

I found them pretty easy & quick to do with a angle grinder. I love the difference, still the best $16.99 I've ever spent on my car!
O-yeah and what comes in the package is driect fit; no triming is needed. Hope it goes smooth for you as well.

Remember how sweaty, grimy, and grumpy O'Neil and I were when you guys got back from the Coast Run? That'* what happens when you do it in the KOA without the proper tools. Cut them off. We fought those bears the hard way on BoneEvil. But we got it done.
The older style is much easier.

Okay guys, im done that was EASY.
The retaining nuts on the top backed off easy, then two waps with a hammer and they popped out of the control arm, with a bit of help from boosty, i realised that full load has to be on BOTH control arms to install one link...make sense..suspension flex..
WOW just doing the fronts made SUCH a difference!!!!! Very pleased.
