missing and shuddering under mid acceleration
I have a 92 lesabre with a 3800. Sorry I couldn't find a lesabre club and while reading through posts you people seemed very helpful.
Under regular lite acceleration or full to the board the car works great but under 1/3-3/4 it misses and shakes. The harder you press the pedal the more it shakes. I can even hear it misfiring from time to time. If you put it to the kitchen it smoothes right out. If you give it about 1/2 throttle it will pick up speed but sputter the whole time. I have just bought the car and was told that the plugs and wires were done less than 10000 miles ago. Could this be a TPS or something like that. I will change the plugs and wires but with the full acceleration pulling so well it seems unlikely to be that.
I could be wrong it has happened before (my wife will always agree ha ha)
thank you in advance for your help.

Maybe some with more experince will chime in. But I would pull a couple of the plugs just look at them. But I know when my car was missing fireing when I got here it threw out codes . The other thing to do is change the fuel filter. If the car had a professional tune up they should have change that I know gm change those on tune-up. The other to do is to change o2 sensor. Then clean thorttle body. Check the air filter make sure it clean.

I have a 92 Bonneville SE, 93 Bonneville SE, and a 97 LeSabre.
I had a similar problem with my Buick and my 93 Bonneville.
It turned out to be a bad ignition coil on the Buick and a bad ignition control module on the Bonneville.
Use a spark tester (available at any parts store) to check for proper spark at each coil.
It should be 25,000 to 40,000 volts. If you are not getting proper spark from one of the coils replace it. If you are still not getting proper spark with the new coil, odds are it'* the Ignition Module.
Hope this helps.

My $.02 worth... Might sound crazy but check the harmonic balancer for cracks and/or wearing. I had a serious shudder and missing problem for a year or more before I finally replaced this... mine was cracked 360 degrees and finally gave up the ghost, that'* how I knew to replace it. Could be the crank sensor too but it wasn't in my case.
