Default Buick Park Av. Vibration

1999 Buick Park Base Model...have read many threads and posts on vibration. My question is quite pointed...I jacked up the front end and the passenger front wheel had a little play in it when moving the tire side to side (up and down did not seem to have movement but I did not want to put my hand under the wheel with only a jack).

From other posts this sounds like an outer tie rod or a hub/bearing. Any thoughts or confirmation on this? Thanks for your advice...this forum is amazing.

Sorry...MODERATOR...maybe move to "Other 3800" section.

Sounds like a hub, but the only way to be sure is to rock it up/down. It'* not a massively hard project, in fact, you can probably do it in less than an hour if you have your tools/parts laid out ahead of time.

Bigsky, did the hub fix your vibration? Any luck?

Mechanic who looked at it today says it needs a new outer tie rod on passenger side. Overall, my vibrations have been dimishing as the new Goodyear TripleTreads reached 1k on the tread. The ride has improved substantially.

When turning left from a stop the wheel/steering wheel has a slight pulsing. The mechanic did not think a bad outer tie rod on the passenger side would cause this, but maybe the left axle was needing replacement. He did not think it was bad enough to worry about yet.

I will follow up with the tie rod and probably an alignment, and go from there.
