I'm about to replace the supercharger coupler and replace the valve cover gaskets. First for the SC... I understand the supercharger snout needs to be sealed after replacing the coupler. Do I need an actual pre-made rubber gasket or gasket maker (silicone in the tube)? I see on INTENSE that they have L67 supercharger gaskets, but then in the description of GM gasket maker, they say "IDEAL for sealing the supercharger snout to the housing." Now I'm confused, which one should I use? Both?

Same question for valve cover gaskets. I see in some places people using gasket maker and in other places people using actual pre-made rubber gaskets (also available on INTENSE). Which one should I use?
(I more thing, do I have to drain the oil to do the valve cover gaskets?)

Here look at this for starters you will have to read up and get some guides to do this. Also look here on the forums under search for coupler change or replacement for some help and walk through tips. It will be crazy and I hope you got the tools some time and skills. Best of luck! The GM gasket maker is great to seal your snout back!

Be sure to follow all the directions and to label all of your parts when you take things apart and keep them grouped together for easy rebuild. You will have to get some parts like a coupler a SC gasket Yellow O-rings GM gasket maker some brake kleen SC oil and a few other items, oh let the fun begin. Be sure to check out all of the information to do this job right! I did it and so can you, I got a FSM from eBay for my 94 Bonnie and some tools at Harbor Tools and Freight and most of my gaskets ordered them at Oreilys and had them the next day for pick up at the store check there for details. You will need some torque wrenches and basic metric hand tools and a few odds and ends. Well I hope this gets you started in the right direction............... I'm not planning on taking the whole supercharger unit off of the engine. I'm taking the belts and the alternator off so I can just unbolt the snout (I'll drain the oil with a syringe) and replace the coupler that way. I have tools and a torque wrench. I have looked in the tech info area and have a good idea about my procedures in doing these 2 jobs. I have already bought a ZZP coupler. My only concern is about gaskets. I need to know what kind of gaskets/sealants to buy to seal the supercharger snout (not the whole SC unit) and the valve cover gaskets. I'm confused about this because I'm sure whether to use just sealant, just a pre-made rubber/cork gasket, or both.

You will need to get premade rubber valve cover gaskets and grommets, along with the GM gasket maker for the snout. I have only one thing to say you will need to make sure your alternator and idler pulley brackets don't run down the whole side of the motor if they do then it is more work than taking off the SC. I wanted to do that myself but I would have had to dismantle most of the engine from top to bottom to get everything out off the way to take off the snout. You might want to ask around here and make sure, On the newer Bonnie'* you have to just move a few things out of the way to take off the snout where as my 94 had to do alot that is why I took the SC off. Awwww you see I think your right, I do have to take the whole SC off, I have an m62 on a 1992....this job just got a whole lot more complicated. I'm really not looking forward to this after spending $1300 to get an intake manifold gasket replaced, along with a new water pump and 2 belts. I tried to get the shop to do the SC coupler but they kept saying how they've never seen a supercharger like mine and they had no idea what to do so I said I'd do it.

Hey looking at that link you gave me, does the shop have to take the SC off anyway to get to the intake manifold gasket? If so, I might be able to tell them to change the coupler now that the SC is off (the car is still currently in the shop).
