1998 ABS/Traction Control Lite

I recently bought a 98 Bonneville SSE. The guy that I bought it from had both front hub assemblies replaced due to the ABS/Traction off lights being on. Both wire harness pigtails were also replaced. All of this was done within the past year. Now the lights are back on and stay on. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this. Thanks.

Does anyone think that maybe one of the hubs that was replaced went bad again? I also noticed that the passenger side brake assembly is hotter than the drivers side.

The best way to tell is to have it scanned with a reader that will see abs/wheel speed sensors. This could be a back hub, could be a one tire is smaller in diameter than the others etc. Without scanning you are limited to visual inspection.

I had my car put on the diagnostic last night and it's showing that the drivers side wheel speed sensor is open. I talked to the guy that I bought the car from and both front hub assemblies were replaced about a month ago. Does it make sense that the speed sensor would go bad that soon or does it make more sense that a wire is bad somewhere?

Both cases are possible. Make sure the drivers side ABS sensor connector is connected securely. Just follow the wire from the hub and you should find it just next to the frame. Disconnect it, check for corrosion and reconnect.
