Default TCC Problem! Oh god. Take a second, help needed.

1999 Bonneville, start vehicle shift to gear, doesn't move. In order to get her going I must really press the gas. Engine light'* on, code reads that TCC garbage. Took on highway tranny fluid burnt.

WHAT THE ****.

Recent ****: Flushed tranny replaced filter, changed oil replaced filter (including lucas), power steering fluid, added coolant.

What is it?! Clutch converter? TCC solenoid?

Someone PLEASE. ANYONE.

Was the trans acting up at all or exhibiting any issues or signs before the flush and service?

Sounds like the input clutches are shot from the sounds of it. Most people that start having trouble and decide to flush find that the material suspended in the fluid was the only thing keeping it limping. New fluids can be slippery and if there'* not enough clutch left...there'* issues.

Maybe the fluid leaked out. I had my axle replaced, got a tear in the boot, and the guy who replaced the axle didn't replace the seal where it connects to the transaxle. A month later the seal was shot and 5 quarts of transmission fluid leaked out. Had it done by a mechanic on the side so I'm SOL as far as that goes. My car was doing the exact same thing yours was. I'd checked the fluid level briefly before it all leaked out, looked fine, and I didn't put 2 + 2 together. It would rev way up to 4 grand before going to the next gear. Finally noticed it was transmission fluid and not oil burning on my catalytic converter. I thought maybe I lucked out but two weeks after the seal was replaced I got a CEL, P1870, and driving it with a mechanic with a computer hooked up showed slipping, 200 RPM, and a failure for the torque converter clutch to engage. And I'm going to be out $800.
