Default 1997 SE Compressor Seized Need some questions answered

Hello, I have a 1997 Bonneville SE with a L36 engine. My air conditioning compressor pulley will not move. I am not sure if it is the clutch or compressor that is seized. I can spin the outer part of the clutch and I can turn the bolt (or nut) than holds the pulley on, does that mean the compressor is ok and the clutch is seized. Also how do I remove the entire compressor? I removed the three nuts from the studs on the front of the compressor but it will not move. Are there more bolts or nuts holding it on? One more question is it possible to get a shorter belt and bypass the compressor? I did a search and could not find any info related to this year car. Thanks for everyones help in advance.
