Driver Side Mirror

Driver Side Mirror
Hi,
I just picked up a 1993 SSEI.
I cannot get the mirror on the driver side to adjust. The power mirror control **** works great for the passenger side, but when I turn it back to the driver'* side, nothing happens. I am assuming that the motor or the motor connection for the driver side mirror is bad. Is this a correct assumption?
Is so, do I have to replace the whole mirror to get this to work correctly. Or can I get to the motor without replacing the whole unit. Cause I am not ever sure where the motor is for the mirror.
Thanks,
Robo

It'* very likely that the switch that controls which mirror is bad. If it works on the passenger side, and not the drivers side, good chance its the switch.
To test them, you would have to pull the door panel off and be able to access the switch itself. Are you handy with few common tools?

I sure hope I am. It is pretty cold here in Wisconsin, but if it is nicer this weekend, I think I will give it a try. Is there anything in particular that I should be aware about, while I pull the door panel off?

This document on door panel removal is very straightforward and covers everything you need except the really really small allen or torx bit you will need to remove the switch itself.
