MODS: Please split this off in to a new thread.
I don't know the exact details or which 3800/Tranny combos have it, but I do recall there being mention of one bolt on the bell housing that is backwards, and usually must be reached through the drivers side wheel well with enough extensions to get the ratchet in to the wheel well to turn. I will try and dig up more details on it.

Did some digging in tech info.
Engine removal:

This is transmission removal, however it directly references and pictures the backwards bolt.

Looks like I was wrong, it'* the passenger side that many go through to get to it.

First, you need to remove the passenger side tire.
Remove any plastic splash shields
Remove the oil pressure sensor and this metal bracket that has 4 bolts.
Now you should be able to see the backwards bolt just like in this picture...
Use a long extension like shown here...
