Default Fuel Pump pressure drop

1997 Bonneville SSe checked fuel pressure while running and it right at 50 psi. turn key off and it drops off to 0 with in about 5- 10 secs. turn key on but don't start and it will only make about 25 psi. As a result it starts a little ragged until pressure comes up. The question here is this a pump problem or something else. FPR or leaking injector. Car runs great after starting no shudder going down the road and no engine codes.

sounds like fpr. take the vac line off and smell for gas, if you smell gas its bad for sure. it seems likely anyway

Yep, FPR. If that checks out, you may have a leaking injector or a bad fuel pump. But chances are, the FPR is bad. Do you have hard starts?

I may have fixed it this evening. Daughter took it to work this Am and it quit about a mile down the road they towed it back to the house. This evening my daughter was messing with it and smelled fuel found main fuel line had come off the rail. This engine had been replaced by PO not long ago I guess the clip didn't get put on. Put a green clip on and cycled the key once and it fired right off and idled fine. will check pressure Tomorrow and see how it acts thanks for the input.

That could have been real bad. No messing around with fuel lines.
