DTC P1870 Transmission Component Slipping

That'* what I got, but I'm not OBD2 fluent all the time. From that, I'd have to ask you if it takes a bit more gas to get going in first gear? Maybe an increase in rpms when climing a hill?

What does your trans fluid look like? (check this after driving for at least 5 minutes)?

only 3 weeks with the car, so don't have a feel whether there is a change in performance. but i can say, the trans feels smooth, and climbin a hill is exhilerating. not knowing what it felt like before, i just cant detect any driving problem that would be related to this code.

Stire that trans up good, and look at the fluid. You don't want to see any friction material mixed in (tiny dark particles...almost microscopic). That'* what I'd expect if your TC is slipping.

The best thing to do is get a scantool on the car and look at TC slip in lockup. Short of that, you may benefit from a flush.
