Transmission leak
My 96 LeSabre leaks transmission fluid around the pan, enough to leave a spot in the driveway. Would it be advisable to use some Bars leak or just replace the pan seal?

I wouldn't use any sort of leak stopper in a transmission
IF it is the gasket, just replace it. You could change your filter while under there also
Just make sure that it isn't any of transmission lines

absolutely. just get a filter kit with a RUBBER gasket and replace both, iirc pro king ones have that. don't forget the 6 qts of fluid.
torque all bolts to about 15 ft-lbs and you'll be good to go.
