Default Where is the starter Located?

Okay I have found the part number. Now can somebody tell me where the starter is located? I am debating weather or not to replace it myself. Is it a difficult job? It looks like the starter only needs 2 bolts and the ground relay to be connected. Please enlighten me if you know better. I was looking to get into this tommorrow.

Open the hood, look down behind the fans on the front of the engine at the bottom right side. You will need to disconnect the negative battery cable; jack up and safely support the car, get underneath, remove the wide plastic splash pan (10 mm bolts) that goes between the bumper and the front crossmember. Once that is out, you can easily see - and remove - the connections on the starter. One big one, (15mm?)a positive cable from the battery, and one little one, (5/16 or 9/32) from the trans. Remove the 2 plastic flywheel covers. (10 mm bolts - Gotta kinda twist the one to get it out.) Then remove the two 15mm (head) bolts that hold in the starter. Make note of any shims that fall out when you remove the starter.

Clean the bolts and make sure the block is nice and clean where the starter mounts - that'* where the ground connection is made, and the starter draws lotsa amps, so it will work best with a nice clean ground.

When you are putting the new starter back in, start with the same amount of shims the old starter had. Hook up the battery and try the starter before bolting the splash shield back up and dropping the car. If it makes a loud sound (like the starter gear is binding on the flywheel) add some shims until it sounds normal. Then button the rest up and you are good to go.

Good luck.
