I've been quietly watching this topic unfold. If it's a heat-related stall/no start condition, it may be good to look at swapping the ICM and Coils with a known good set as a troubleshooting step. Particularly if you know someone else with a 3800.

No info yet. Bonne has been at the shop since Wednesday but the mechanic hasn't called yet.

I think I will call them today.

Weath..While I don't want to push this off topic. Please start your own thread for your current problem. My first thoughts is to have the mechanic check VATs.. However..new thread please. ;)

Bill, sorry. Wasn't trying to change the topic nor find a fix for my problem on this particular thread, just trying to help Gilligan out, mainly empathize. but any questions I have, I will post to a new thread. :oops:

Sorry it took so long to post back, but just picked up the car. He replaced the crank sensor ($43 sensor + $65 labor). We only drove it home so I can't say for sure that it is fixed but I noticed several of the post on here suggested that might be the cause for your problem.

Goodluck getting it fixed!
