I've been quietly watching this topic unfold. If it'* a heat-related stall/no start condition, it may be good to look at swapping the ICM and Coils with a known good set as a troubleshooting step. Particularly if you know someone else with a 3800.

Moderator Matt lives in Red Deer. Close enough? Someone else (don't recall who) lives in Calgary.

No info yet. Bonne has been at the shop since Wednesday but the mechanic hasn't called yet.

I think I will call them today.

Weath..While I don't want to push this off topic. Please start your own thread for your current problem. My first thoughts is to have the mechanic check VATs.. However..new thread please.

Sorry it took so long to post back, but just picked up the car. He replaced the crank sensor ($43 sensor + $65 labor). We only drove it home so I can't say for sure that it is fixed but I noticed several of the post on here suggested that might be the cause for your problem.

Goodluck getting it fixed!
