Where are you located? Some of the people here are real experts with these engines. Maybe someone close would be willing to stop by & take a look. Something else that may help is giving us more detail in your posts. Instead of saying "the fuel pressure is fine" explain how you checked it & what the pressure was.

What i'm wondering is if the fuel pump could be quitting after after it runs for a few minutes & gets warm. Was the pressure tested long enough to rule this out?

Edit - After it stalls how long before you're able to restart it?

here is what ive done so far...

1.) http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ighlight=coils I used this to check the coils... but i also picked up some used ones from a scrap yard and it didnt help.

2.) http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...e=article&k=57 (i had codes cleared and only the cam sensor stayed and that was changed)

3.) Changed the MAF as it was tampered with and I thought it was part of the problem.

4.) Then i checked the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure tester buy first hooking it up and just turning the key and letting the fuel pump prime. then i started it and let it run for a bit and seeing if it droped and it didnt. then i turned it off and left the pressure tester hooked up to see if it lost any pressure and it lost only 3or 4 psi in ten min.

5.) then used this write-up to check and replace the sensor (magnet was fine and in tacked)... http://6007.us/cammag.htm

Then I made this post lol hope this gives everyone an idea what ive done thus far.

Default I have the same problem

Wow, I have the same year (92) with the same problem you describe (at least close to it)! About 2 weeks ago, it got to where it would just not start until it cooled for about 20 minutes or so. We took it to the mechanic who checked fuel pressure, fuel relay and checked the cam magnet and found it was missing. He replaced the magnet but also said that he wasn't sure if that would fix the problem. Well, it then ran fine for 2 weeks, now, it will die upon deacceleration (sometimes but not always) and yesterday, it wouldn't start. When I finally got it to start, it died after about 2 seconds. I had to wait about 5 more minutes and it finally started again. I pulled it into the garage and am taking it back to the same mechanic Wednesday of this week. I'll let you know what he finds. He'* pretty good so I'm interested to see what the diagnosis is.

BTW, this car has 200,238 miles on it.
