Default Hydraulic engine damper failure or ???

Hi everyone, hope someone can help. I've been reading in the forums trying to find mention of this and can't seem to find anything.
95 Bonneville SSEi.
When I accelerate hard, I have a dramatic grinding noise, and I've determined that my engine is deflecting significantly - I'm sure it'* just engine vibration as it touches somewhere it'* not supposed to. I've replaced the upper engine mount on the passenger side, but I'm pretty sure that I've got to replace the hydraulic damper (what'* the proper name for it) on the lower driver'* side in front. This one is $220 Cdn from Lordco here in Canada - pretty pricey. It seems it might be prone to failure - can anyone comment? Is there an alternative more durable available? If not, can anyone recommend a less expensive place to get one?

Are there any other mounts which may be broken? When I bought the other one, I also got a really simplistic looking one, completely symmetrical, about 6-8" long with a bolt hole in each end, but can't seem to see where it belongs. I searched for photos to help but to no avail.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

You can get the hydraulic mount from DrJay, he runs www.seriesoneperformance.com. It should be a lot less than $220.

The other mount maybe sounds like the rear tranny mount. Easily seen from underneath, on the passenger side, back corner.

As for what is actually making that noise, I don't know without looking at it.
