Default A/C Issue

Now that I got my car up and running I decided to check what else needs to be replaced. I turned on the A/C today and noticed the compressor clutch didnt engage, and hot air was blowing out. Checked the A/C fuses, fuses are fine. checked all connections on compressor and sensors (both low and high pressure switches) and everything was connected. I checked out another thread on here and seen that I could try and jumper the pressure switch plug on the dryer canister and see if the compressor engages. Sure enough it did. Plugged back in the sensor and the compressor engaged, but the relay for the A/C kept clicking on and off, as well as the compressor was clicking on and off. hooked up the pressure gauge and when the compressor would click on it had 45psi. I unplugged the pressure sensor and it engaged and stood on, but no pressure. So does this mean I need a new pressure switch for the dryer canister or would it be something else?
