Very important question..i need heat
I live in michigan and we are supposed to be dumped with snow tonight but my blower motor is having a proplem of some kind (it quit working today of all days). The question is can i directly hook a toggle switch to the purple leat with the full 12 volts from the battery untill i have more time to resolve the problem or does it require a lesser voltage. Thanks.

Applying +12v from the battery will make the blower run on HI all the time the switch is on. This assumes that the blower motor isn't seized or shorted. I guess it wouldn't be bad for a temporary solution but I'd get it fixed soon.
I'd suggest the use of a relay though and make sure it is a fused source from the battery.

i gotta go to the car parts store in a little while anyways to get the stuff to do it. its only temporary i gotta work at 6 in the moring while its still supposed to be snowing. i just dont want to drive a half hour with a frozen windsheild.

If you have the automatic climate control, 80% of the time the blower stops it is a failed bower module. If that is so, pulling the connector in the duct that goes to the blower motor and applying 12 v will turn the blower on.

i also have the same problem, but mine works 50% of the time, i turned th car on time #1, the blower ran fine, #2, didn't run but kicked on about 15 minutes later, #3 it ran, you get the point. my question is, what'* my problem if eraser'* module went, what'* ym explanation? help please, it sucks driving with the windows open.

Module seems to fail either permanently on (runs battery down fast) or off. Sometimes working sounds like a bad connection or a loose blower wheel (that will usualy screech).

well there'* no screech, but the SES light came on about an hour before the blower problem, i have yet to get to the mechanic to read the problem because i'm snowed in, would the light have anything to do with it?

The ses light has nothing to do with the blower motor, thats a seperate issue.
Check the connections and grounds, often an intermitent electrical problem can be traced back to a poor ground or open in the wiring.
