What can I do to improve my gas mileage?

I'm getting about 300-325 miles out of a full tank. Seems kind of thirsty to me seeing as I do about 70/30 HWY driving. What are u guys getting to a tank? I have given the car a new set of plugs, air filter, made sure my tire pressure is good, and I don't carry any extra weight in the car. So I'm open to any thoughts u guys have...thanks...Andru.

I get around 18mpg (something like 270 a tank) in mostly city driving. I have a good bit of a lead foot, too.
Try changing your oxygen sensor. Last summer my car was getting 15mpg and throwing up SES lights, replacing it solved all that. They're only $20 and easy to change so it can't hurt.

No, I don't have a manual. It probly is around 60 litres or so. The only reason I'm want to know for sure is because whenever I fill up the gauge never goes to full. So I'm just wondering if it'* off a litte bit so that when I'm reading almost empty I might still have just under 1/4 tank. If memory serves me correct I can't remember putting more then 55 litres in at one time, not that I pay to much attention to that. Thanks...Andru.

That'* better...
Since I had to replace my motor I've been noticing that my gas milage is a bit better so I figured it out tonight. Before I was getting about 19.5 MPG and now I'm getting about 22MPG. By my calculations this new motor should pay for itself in JUST 6 years...man that'll be sweet hehe

I got about just over 33 mpg on my last trip up north.
The highest I have mpg I ever got was 40.1 mpg on a 220 mile drive. It was a cool fall day and I did not need to run the AC and kept the car between 60 and 70 mph. I have never been able to duplicate it so it might be a fluke.

You pretty much have to drive these cars on straightaways, with no stopping, or accelerate EXTREMELY slow to get good gas mileage. When I used to drive all highway driving in my LeSabre, I got about 22 MPG (very heavy foot, I floored it about 3 times a day. lol) NOW I drive a whole lot slower, almost like a Grandma (the car loves it though) and now I get about 29MPG. Brother'* 92 gets 31 MPG on the highway, mom'* 95 gets 32. (cruise control set at about 75)
