Default Twilight Sentinel question

I have a question about the Twilight Sentinel in my 1988 Bonneville SSE....

I understand that when Twilight Sentinel is activated the headlights come on automatically at dusk and whenever it is gloomy and dark outside so they come on for wet weather too... BUT right now, my headlights seem to come on all the time even in broad daylight in the afternoon when the sun is out. Why is this? They seem a little over-sensitive. Is this normal?

Perhaps England is just a very dark place.

The twilight in my 90 Electra PA Limited used to do that too, i guess they're just really sensitive, and that was even on the bright sunny days in hawaii

Default ****

The **** is a timer adjustment for how long the lights stay on when the car is turned off.
There is a sensor on the dash near the defrost vent that may be dirty or need changing. It unscrews out at the top like a tailight bulb.

Forgive me if this doesn't even relate to your car, but it might help.
On my '97 when you comepletely remove the photocell it makes the lights come on all the time. So, if your lights always are on you might need a totally new photocell. Check the resistance if you can. I don't know what it'* supposed to be though.

Make sure nothing is sitting up on your dash covering the photocell either...It'* happened once that I can remember on this forum
