Some help with my car
its a 90 lesabre ln3
okay, My ICM died under the coils, I replaced the icm, it runs, but I have some problems and here is wat I have done
new coils, ecm and belding plug wires, new ngk tr-55'*
took throttle body off, cleaned the TB and all sensors accordingly to the guides on the site,
cleaned air filter and oiled.
replaced my battery connectors as they were old and stripped threads.
now. when it is cold, the car seems to have no go. warm it goes decently.
this morning (first time this ever happened) when I started the car up, the Tach needle was going NUTS, i pushed the brake and it went normal, let go it went NUTS. I then opened the door, the tach went normal, closed the door, it went nuts again (but the car was not misidleing) after putting the car in gear it went normal.
Also I am still getting a studder when cold sometimes.
once warmed up it does not misfire and has power and goes fine.
everything is clean no SES light at ALL.
I am wondering could it be the computer or ground bus? because I get no SES light at all. any help appreciated. thanks!

Sounds more like a vacuum leak. Have you replaced any of the rubber lines? There are a half dozen or so little 2 inch sections of rubber line that hold larger vacuum lines together. These lines can age and crack which allows them to leak. If you touch them and black soot comes off on your hands, then they need to be replaced. Just pull one of the lines off and go to any parts store and get about a foot (should be about a dollar) and cut the sections to fit and replace the old ones.
Otherwise, is the car throwing any codes?

all the rubber hoses are good, no black soot off any of them. seems most are metal. but what is rubber seems good.
Also Alibi, where did you find your strut tower brace? because yours should fit mine just fine. let me know. Thanks!

You may want to check your grounds.
Make sure the negative battery post is tight. Under the ICM is the main ground for the ignition system. on the right and left fender walls are two ground points. Check for tight and any cracks in the wiring. Wouldn't hurt to remove them and wire brush the contact with the car / engine.
Good start to troubleshooting this.

Strut tower braces can be had from pretty much any 92-99 H body in a junkyard (Bonneville, LeSabre, Olds 88, maybe Park Avenue). Its a direct bolt-on part.
...and a wire brush or even some sandpaper does wonders on corrosion.

You could say it was electrical - my friend installed my plugs for me, as I was busy changing out a CV axle. I told him to gap the plugs to .060, but for some reason he gapped them to .035. I fixed this problem and it runs fine now, has since just after my last post, but I had no internet at my house until today.
But now I have a new problem i'll start a new topic for. Thanks for the help guys!
