1987-1991 Parley with regards to your 1987 to 1991 Bonneville, Olds 88 or Buick Le Sabre Please use General Chat for non-mechanical issues, and Performance and Brainstorming for improvements.

Any ideas on how to possibly repair my cruise control?

Default Any ideas on how to possibly repair my cruise control?

It used to work but not anymore. I'm getting ready to take a long trip and would love to be able to utilize this feature. Thanks.

Mine has been acting up also, as soon as I find out I will share the wealth. It loses speed after a mile or 2.

go with the administrator'* idea on the vacuum lines and that should do it. i had the same problem with mine.....would gradually lose speed and then finally quit working all together. i got the same advice and traced the lines....all it was was that one had fallen off! reattached it and she'* been fine for the last few months.

you do need the cruise. i was doing a lot of freeway driving at the time and i know it was slowing driving me nuts! besides which as we all know bonne'* are sneaky girls...don't control the speed and you are sucking the paint off the cars you are passing before you know it!
