Default Highbeam wont work

Hi all first off i gotta say excuse me for the spelling lol but i am a new swedish member so i will do my best to make you understand

The car we are talking about is a Bonneville SSE 1991

Its like this.

I was driving in the dark and all of a sudden my highbeam wasnt working, i treid a few times and then it came on again, BUT after that i could not turn it off :? and when i finally got it off it wont work again.

Now i have so far checked the switch up by the weel and that seem to work ok, and checked down at the connector were that iron stay comes out from the weel (that switch) and it seem to work ok when i test it.

And now i am serching like crazy for some kind of relay to the highbeam but i cant seem to find it :(

Can it be a relay or you guys seen/heard something like this and have a suggestion

My highbeams acted like that when the switch (down on the steering column under the dash) was dying. You have to remove the panel under the column and steering column mounting bolts to get to the switch.

Could be. Does it feel different when you try to turn on the brights like normal? Like maybe the linkage between the stalk and switch is bent/broken?
