CHANGEOVER FINALLY COMPLETE
i own a 1988 SSE and a 1989 SE,the SSE is ok,poor shape (trannys deiing) and the 89 is in GREAT shape, new drive axles,rotors,tranny,....exhaust.anyway, i decided to drive 140 miles to a junkyard in vermont, cause the guy told me that they just got a bonneville 91 SSE that had a slipping tranny and now a bad head gasket i guess.so i check this baby out!..i almost took this car apart, took the trim, leather, foglights were almost new, doors (for speakers) the trunk and a hood, and put them on my car, as the paint was peeling off my car a little and it was the same color..my 1989 SE is now a 1989 SSE without a sunroof,i switched the dash boards and everything, the lights, rewired almost everyhintg lik the SSE,power mirrors, everything.im gonna go back tomm to grab the brake cylinder and the almost new radiator!>..all this cost me 150$...

Where in Vermont is this junkyard?? Did the SE have the VFD driver'* information center? If not, does it work with the SSE cluster??
That was a lot of work you have done. Good job.

awesome dude.. don't feel left out, I don't have a sunroof either. I must say a lot of work, but I know the satisfaction when you fix something that hasn't worked in a loooong time.

me = leather. I think it may be standard on the SSE to have leather, although I have seen a 95 or something on eBay [linked from here] with cloth [SSE or SSEi, don't remember exactly]

... i think i like it better than leather. more no-nonsense. The only gripe I've got is the fact that it'* the EXACT SAME cloth as the bargain-basement Sunbird.
