I noticed someone posted baout changing their tire size on their 17s on their 00+ bonne...but i was wondering what is the max width i can go on a 15x6 wheel? Currently running 205/70/15...i have always wondered what I could go up to without rubbing issues?

prolly a 215-225........but I think you may be flirting with disaster with a 225.

215-65R15s are factory for that time period, but it depends on your rims. Are they alminum? I think we have guys running 235s on their lesabre T-types.

I put the 94-95 Silver SSE Troque stars, with 225 60 16 tires and have no rubbing at full lock in either direction... Upon looking at areas of concern, it would be possible to run a 235 or maybe even a 245<---- Might rub...

My 91 LE came from the factory with 215 65 15's... I believe with my new wheels and tires the speedo is at 60 mph when my actual is 61.4 mph

But the ride and handling is improved with the lower and wider profile..

I would stick with a 225 if going to a 16" rim and 215 if you are keeping the 15's you currently have

I have Michelin Pilot 225/55/16's on my 1991 Lesabre. They *almost* rub. *almost*. So im thinking you might have to remove some plastic with 17's using 225's. (grin)

I would imagine 215s in the 17 size would be JUST thin enough. But dont quote me on that.

I'm running 225/60R16 on the factory ghetto golds instead of the stock 215/60. No issues.

I added the 94-95 SSE torque stars, running 225 60 16's no issues either... ;)

Yeah we got a little out of pace here..

I would go with a 215 65 15 ... That will be plenty wide for a 15" rim..

With the 215 65 15 your speedo will read 1.1% faster than your actual speed
