My Bonnie wrapped around a tree (everyone'* ok)
today i was driving and hit a black ice spot..(yes in maine its cold now!) and hit a tree straight on at about 25-30 mph....(40-50kmh),and the cops were on seen,i was ok..but my bonnie ...she was in bad shape, smashed everything till about 3-5 inches in front of engine, the radiator, all the pipes, the side panels, hood, all the support under the radiotor...TOTALLED..but all is not lost..i towed her home, pissed coolant and tranny fliud, made a trip to VIP,picked up a radiator, some support bars, and pipes and weld peices, and i have almost rebuilt the frame and the radiator is back in place, with all the pipes, including the tranny vacuum line and support, and all the battery support....
but tom im going to the boneyard and pulling some parts, and she will be road worthy soon!.....i wish i had pics...!!,i even drove it down the street to test the coolant system, with the new pipes and hoses and such..works good, cept no lights,no hood,no side panels,no bumper...now actually this collison was in the perfect spot,as it didnt bend the main frame that holds the bumper up!!.NOW thats some bonnie engineering

Hey Smoosh
There are several better other ways to welcome winter you know!
Normally winter arrive earlier in Quebec than in Maine.
I am very sorry for your recent ice experience.
Good that you had not suffered from that physically.
Hurry up!...it'* time to install winter threaded tires now.
Ciao

Poor tree, got eaten alive by a bonnie. get well soon bonnie. glad all are ok, you should get some pix of the process. good luck.
ps, you should have just duct taped the radiator and stuff in, it would have been cheaper. actually, now that i think about it, you could ducttape everything back together. it would be quicker, easier, and if you hit something else, like the neighbors annoying dog perhaps, stuff will fall off, instead of get crushed. lol, jk
