Help with size of catalytic converter pipe size...
Hey all. The converter is fine but there is a crack in the pipe just before the downpipe joins into the converter, which makes for a lot of noise especially when accelerating. I was planning on getting a connector for a cheap fix until I'm ready to get my new exhaust in April. Any suggestions on sizes?! Thanks guys and gals.

2.25" Grab a muffler clamp and clamp it over it.. if it'* too large for that clamp, you should get it replaced soon. I believe it is 2.25"... i'll check mine tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

For a cheap fix, cut a piece out of an old oil filter and inch or so longer than the crack, apply some Victor'* Muffler Mender or JB Weld to the crack (used to have it at K-Mart), place piece of oil filter over it, and clamp with big hose clamp or two.
ps any leak forward of the muffler can put fumes into the passenger compartment which is not a good. If you start to get a headache, open a window.
