Default Crank Sensor removal question.

Got my balancer off with the vicegrip on flywheel method - you guys rock!
Does anyone know if I could just snap the sensor out of the bracket without changing the setting?
I think the dealer did this when I had them change the sensor 3 yrs ago because the bolts looked untouched.

I would go that way as long as the bracket doesn't appear newly bent from the belt.
