Steering wheel removal
Stupid question, but how the heck do you get the control panel off the steering wheel (89 SSE)??? I figured there would be screws on the backside of the wheel, nothing..I just dont want to break it!

The 90 manual says
You will need a puller if you intend to remove the steering wheel. If you don't have one, you might be able to take advantage of Autozone or Advance'* loaner tool program.
Pry out control button assembly with thin bladed screwdriver along top edge of assembly

Got it out, man it was simple I had to change the ignition lock cylinder-after 250+ zillion miles the keys wouldt stay in it anymore. Hit a bump & the keys would just drop out onto the floor. Pretty cool though, any key would start it

Aye, yeah I know what that'* like. Towards the demise of my original ignition lock the keys would just come out, and although I never tried any other keys, it usually would never lock [like you never needed a key to turn the ignition on]. But if I locked the steering wheel, it would. Weird ****.. then it just wouldn't turn anymore. Got a replacement, now it'* good as can be.
