1989 SSE rear valve cover wet with oil?
Since changing the power steering pump ( 2nd time in a year), I noticed a smoking problem of burning oil or fluid from the engine. It seemed a lighter color. Seemed to be located just under the pump, so I figured I spilled some fluid taking it out, so would stop once burned off. Well, two weeks later, still smoking. So enlisted the help of a mechanic friend. he came up with the gasket of the valve coverbeing the culprit. We changed it, it is better but still smokes some. And I notice a light wetness to several parts of the rear valve cover. I have tried observing engine while running, but no luck seeinga leak or anything obvious. Any suggestions where to look? Thanks

leak
You have to degrease it bone dry, drive it and bring it home to inspect with a drop light.
Oil seeps and travels to other locations so this way may reveal the source of the leak.
